According to today's release from the ICON MODEL, the storm's outer cloud bands will come closest to Rakhine State between October 26 and 28, which may bring moderate to heavy rain and strong winds, with rain expected to ease after October 29, according to an assessment by meteorologist U Win Naing.

In Ayeyarwady Region, Yangon Region, Bago Region, and Mon State, Kayin State, and Tanintharyi Region, due to the storm's pull, rain is expected to fall from scattered to fairly widespread between October 26 and 29, it is said.

In Sagaing Region (upper/lower), Magway Region, Mandalay Region, Nay Pyi Taw, Kachin State, Chin State, and Shan State, as the storm moves north-northwest, residual cloud masses may bring scattered rain between October 26 and 28, and on November 1, moisture drifting in from the west may bring rain again, it is said.

Although the storm is headed toward the Indian offshore area, rainfall is likely to increase noticeably in the western and southern regions of Myanmar between October 26 and 28, according to an assessment by meteorologist U Win Naing.
