It is reported that in Tedim Town, Chin State, a man who broke into a house and stole items also molested a female teacher who was shopping at a nearby store, violating her physical dignity.

On October 1, in a house in Lawibual Ward, Tedim Town, while the homeowners had briefly gone downstairs, someone broke into the house and stole two phones, and also forcibly hugged a female teacher who was shopping at a nearby store, according to reports.

"He broke into the house while the owners were downstairs. He grabbed two phones from the table and ran off, and then he forcibly hugged and kissed the cheeks of a teacher who was shopping at a store nearby. People at the store ran and beat him up. At that time, the people whose house was broken into went to check because of the noise from the store next door, and that's when they realized he was the one who had broken into their home. They said he opened the wardrobe and messed up the clothes too," a local resident said.

It is reported that when the female teacher who was shopping screamed in fright and called for help, the male shop owner and nearby local residents came and helped to apprehend him.

It is known that the arrested person is a resident of Tuitawh Village and had recently been temporarily staying in Leilum Ward, Tedim Town.
