The body of a young man with a mental illness who had been missing for 4 days in Kadinwa village, Dawei Township, was found in a water well outside the village, it is learned.

It is known that he had been missing after leaving his home on October 18, and at around 4 pm on October 22, a foul smell came from an abandoned water well outside the village, and when people went to look, they found him, it is learned.

"A woman from the village was passing by the well, and because there was a smell, she looked down inside and found the body," a local from the village said.

The young man who died was Ko Thura Zaw, aged 36, who lived in Kadinwa village, and it is also known that he had been suffering from mental illness since around 10 years ago.

The body of the deceased was sent to the morgue of Dawei General Hospital by the Tanintharyi Region Emergency Rescue Team, it is learned, and it is known that it was then carried back from the morgue to the Kadinwa village cemetery and buried according to custom.
