In Sanam Chai Khet District, Chachoengsao Province, Thailand, a crocodile was found near residential homes during flooding, and because it could pose a danger to local residents, authorities had to capture and cull it, it is reported.

On October 1, when flooding was occurring, local residents reportedly found a crocodile approximately 2 meters long in Village No. 2, Ban Bang Phra Niang, Khuai Yai Sub-district.

A team including police officers from Sanam Chai Khet Police Station went to capture the crocodile and culled it for the safety of local residents, Chachoengsao Provincial Council Member Udon Thakwati wrote and posted on Facebook.

"The crocodile has been culled. Thank you to the Sanam Chai Khet police officers," Udon wrote.

Authorities have also warned local residents to be careful when traveling, as flooding and overflow may cause reptiles and aquatic animals to move from their natural habitats to densely populated areas.
