A woman who had liked posts on the Facebook account of the Ye Bilu revolutionary force in Ye Township, Mon State, has reportedly been arrested again.
Around 10 a.m. on August 23, security forces raided a house in Mokkanin Village, Ye Township, and arrested a 25-year-old woman named Ma Nadi on charges of liking posts on the Ye Bilu page.
"These days, most of the arrests are of people who comment or like posts on the Ye Bilu Page. They mainly target people in areas under their control. They check phones on the roads," a local resident said.
The detained Ma Nadi is reportedly being interrogated at the No. 106 Infantry Battalion based in Mokkanin Village, and will be charged under the anti-terrorism law, according to sources.
Since early August, the military junta has been conducting frequent arrests of those who comment and like posts on the Ye Bilu Page, with at least 4 people detained so far.
Those arrested have been charged under Section 52(a) of the Counter-Terrorism Law, according to reports.
