Three paramotors launched from KapaSa 12 in Thayet Township, Magway Region, bombed and attacked Chinnit Village in Minbu Township, resulting in the deaths of civilians and cattle, as well as damage to a clinic and homes, according to a statement released today at noon by Thayet District Battalion No. 4.
At around 5:00 PM yesterday, October 8, three paramotors launched from KapaSa 12 based in Thayet Town dropped 9 bombs on Chinnit Village in Minbu Township and also fired with small arms, it is reported.
Due to the bombing attack, innocent civilians from Chinnit Village — local resident U Tun Tin, aged 83, and Maung Wai Yan Oo, aged 12 — were killed, while Ko Bo Bo Win, aged 25, from Hmyit Village; Ko Aung Phyo Wai, aged 25, from Lat Pwa Village; and Ma Pa Laung, aged 25, from Chinnit Village, were injured, it is said.
Similarly, 7 cattle belonging to local residents were killed, and a clinic and many homes were destroyed, according to a statement issued by Thayet District Battalion No. 4.
It is also reported that on September 13 of last month, three paramotors launched from KapaSa 12 bombed Zun Kya Village in Minbu Township, killing 4 children under the age of 15, a 25-year-old woman, and a 70-year-old woman, while a 23-year-old woman and 4 girls under the age of 16 were injured.
