Two military vehicles hit by landmine in Taungdwingyi Township, casualties reported

The People's Defense Force - Punnawaddy has announced that two military vehicles carrying junta troops were attacked with landmines on the Yangon-Mandalay Union Highway No. 2 in Taungdwingyi Township, Magway Region.

At approximately 11:30 AM on August 20, two military vehicles traveling from Aunglan Township toward Taungdwingyi Township were attacked with landmines at a section of road between Praputkyay Village and Saitkwe Village in Taungdwingyi Township.

It is reported that many junta troops were killed and numerous others were seriously injured as a result of the landmine attack.

Although the remaining military vehicles returned fire after the landmine attack, the revolutionary forces were able to retreat without any casualties, according to reports.

The attack was carried out jointly by the Taungdwingyi Township People's Defense Force - PDF (Punnawaddy), the Southern Magway People's Defense Force - Magway (PDF), the Magway-Taungdwingyi Special Guerrilla Force, and the Taungdwingyi Rocket Fighter group.
