In southern Shan State, near the main people's hospital in Ywangan town, revolutionary forces ambushed the military junta, leading to a two-sided clash in which 3 junta troops were killed, it is reported.

The clash occurred around 3 PM yesterday, October 1, and lasted more than 40 minutes, it is reported.

"I heard 3 soldiers were killed. It seemed like an ambush; I also heard heavy weapons fire. When I went after the fighting ended, I saw soldiers lying dead," a local resident said.

In recent days, the military junta reinforced and stationed troops near Ywangan town at Nwabangyi village, restricting movement in the village after 8 PM, and frequently conducting population checks on villagers, it is reported.

"After 4 PM, no one in the village dares to go outside. They frequently check the population list in the village. They check, saying missing people must be PDF. In town, they patrol by car," another local resident said.

Around the second week of last September, after a revolutionary force member surrendered to the military junta, those in contact with revolutionary forces were arrested and detained, and 8 local residents have been charged, it is reported.
