Electrical Shop Robbed, Thieves Skip Fireproof Safe and Destroy CCTV Cameras

A shop named 'Ko Ko and Nyi Nyi' selling electrical appliances on Kanna Road, Mar Yam Kone Ward, Mawlamyine, Mon State, was robbed, according to reports.

Around 4 AM this morning, August 28, three men wearing black face masks and gloves, carrying three short guns, entered the upper floor of the three-story building housing the 'Ko Ko and Nyi Nyi' electrical appliance shop on Kanna Road, Mar Yam Kone Ward, Mawlamyine, and took the fireproof safe, according to sources.

"The shop is attached to the house, the owners weren't there, only two maids and a niece were present. Around 4 AM this morning, three men climbed over from the adjacent building under construction, tied up the three girls first, and then took the fireproof safe whole," a local resident said.

Although efforts are being made to gather information to track down and arrest the robbers, it is reported that the perpetrators destroyed even the CCTV cameras, which may make it difficult to apprehend the suspects.
