On the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway, a Nissan vehicle with a yellow RLG license plate crashed into a bridge wall, resulting in 4 deaths and 3 serious injuries, according to reports.

At approximately 2:50 PM on August 26, a vehicle with a yellow RLG license plate traveling from Naypyidaw to Mandalay reportedly lost control and collided with concrete barriers on the median island near Rakhine Bridge, located between mileposts 267/5 and 267/6.

"As we were passing by, two women from the back of the car were thrown out and died instantly on the spot. At the front of the car, I'm not sure if it was the driver, but I saw one person trapped," a witness at the scene said.

According to the Expressway Maintenance and Supervision Committee, of the 7 people aboard the Nissan vehicle, the driver and 3 women — a total of 4 people — died at the scene of the accident, while the remaining 1 man and 2 women sustained injuries.
