Youth Arrested for Pulling Trigger While Weeding

A young man working on a swidden farm in Wundwin Township, Mandalay Region, was arrested on August 27, according to reports.

Military junta troops from Pintale tract reportedly conducted patrols into swidden farm sites in Kukokharla, Thetkan, Nyaungdo, and Innkon villages, and arrested a young man who was pulling up seedlings at around 1:00 PM on August 27.

Additionally, early in the morning of August 27 at around 4:00 AM, military junta troops conducted patrols in Shwetaung tract, including Thapyayyoe, Pehnyanthar, Taungbo, and Khantaw villages, but no arrests were reported.

On August 23, military junta troops from Pintale tract also arrested two young men near Kantpalel and Mingan villages along the highway, according to Voice of Wundwin.

The military junta has stationed troops at the hospital and police station in Pintale tract villages and has been conducting patrols in surrounding villages, leading to an increasing number of young people from Wundwin Township leaving the country, while agricultural activities are facing difficulties, according to reports.
